Are you licensed? What does that mean?

Little Learners Preschool is licensed in Virginia and Loudoun County.  This means that we must follow strict standards set by both the state and county.  Our facility is visited twice yearly to ensure compliance.  Our employees must pass criminal background and child protective services checks and have three letters of reference before being hired.  In addition, all employees must be licensed in CPR and First Aid and complete yearly educational and safety training.

What are the age requirements for enrollment?

Children should be three years old by November 30 of the school year for the two day class, and four years old by November 30 of the school year for the three day class.   

How many students are in each class and what is your student/teacher ratio?

Little Learners enrolls 12 students per class.  Each class has two teachers, so our student/teacher ratio is never greater than 6:1.

Is you school allergy friendly?

Yes. Please let the director know all allergy concerns and we will accommodate your needs. Our director is EPI-PEN trained. However, please note that we are NOT a nut free facility..

What is your policy for inclement weather?

We follow the Loudoun County Public School calendar for holidays, teacher work days, and inclement weather.  In the case of inclement weather, please refer to the list below.

  • If Loudoun County Schools are closed, Little Learners is also closed.

  • If Loudoun County Schools are on a ONE OR TWO hour delay, Little Learners opens ONE hour late, at 10:00AM.

  • If Loudoun County schools close one or two hours early, we close one hour early, at 11:30AM.
